An Teallach Mountaineering Club (ATMC)

Welcome to our club website. We hope you will find all the information you need here, but if you have any questions please get in touch and we'll be happy to help.

Who are we?

We are a very friendly national club with no specific 'home'. We meet more or less monthly for the weekend, as well as more informal days and weekends out. We have a range of members, young and not so young, and all are welcome to come along and join us. if you're not sure about a whole weekend, get in touch and we can hopefully introduce you to someone who lives nearby for a day walk or a beer.

What do we do?

Weekends away are usually in club huts or hostels, though we have had some pretty flash cottages out of season as well. We usually gather late on a Friday night, when plans are made for the next day. We tend to split into smaller groups with folk pursuing their own interests, meeting up again at night for a wee dram, a tasty communal meal, and many tales of great exploits. We head out again on Sunday before wending our ways home. We always car share and look out for new people, so you won't be left alone (unless you really want to be).

How do you join?

The best thing to do is just to come along to one of our weekend meets, where you'll get to meet the regulars in a social setting, as well as get out on the hill with us. People usually come along for a couple of meets before joining.
